Privacy Policy

Account data: your email address and authentication identifiers, an optional display name, and a timestamp recording that you confirmed your age at signup. We do not ask for or store a date of birth, a phone number, a postal address, or a profile photo.

Study data: the cards you see, the answers you give, how long you took, how confident you said you were, and the scheduling state that decides when a card comes back.

Material you submit: topics you name, text you paste, documents you upload, and pages you ask us to import.

Operational records: a first-party log of significant actions on your account, and technical error records. These identify you by account ID.

Billing data, if and when paid tiers arrive: handled by a payment processor. We would hold a plan status and a customer reference, not your card number.

We process account, study, and submitted material because it is necessary to deliver the service you asked for. There is no product without it. That is contractual necessity rather than consent, which is why you cannot switch it off and keep using the service. If you no longer want it processed, delete your account.

We also process the same data under our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service: measuring quality, debugging failures, evaluating prompts and models, and building better study material. That work is internal.

Your acceptance at signup is acceptance of the Terms of Service and confirmation of your age. It is not a consent basis for essential processing, and we do not treat it as one.

There are no third-party analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers in this application. Product usage events are first-party and stay in our own database.

Cookies and local storage are used only for what the service needs to work: keeping you signed in, and remembering interface preferences such as your active space and filters. If paid tiers arrive, a payment processor may set cookies strictly needed to complete a checkout.

To generate cards, grade written recall, and search your material, we send the relevant text to third-party AI model providers acting as processors on our behalf. They process it to return a result to us.

Your material is not used by those providers to train their public models. We may use it internally to evaluate and improve how this service generates and grades material.

We do not sell your data, we do not licence it to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising. Ever.

Only you, and anyone you deliberately invite into a shared space. Our infrastructure providers (hosting, database, authentication, AI model providers, the page-import service, and in future a payment processor) process data on our instructions to keep the service running.

If the business is ever sold or merged, data may transfer as part of that transaction. The buyer would be bound by a policy no less protective than this one, and we would tell you before it took effect.

You can download a complete JSON export of your account and study data at any time from your account page, with no request and no waiting period.

The export includes your own records in full. Source material appears by reference, as a title and content hash rather than full text, so that an export cannot be used as a route around content controls.

You can request deletion of your account from your account page. Your material and study records are removed from the live service and your authentication record is deleted.

We keep material and study activity for as long as your account exists, and we retain it internally for quality, debugging, and product improvement. That retention is for our own use only. It is never sold, licensed, published, or shared for advertising.

After deletion, aggregated and de-identified records derived from your use may remain in our internal evaluation sets, because they can no longer reasonably be linked back to you. Redacted diagnostic samples are purged automatically after 90 days, and backups age out on their own schedule.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing, including our improvement work. Export and deletion are self-serve on your account page. For anything else, contact us.

The service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age, and we delete accounts we learn belong to someone younger.

Material changes bump the version of this document, and we ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. The version and date you accepted are shown on your account page.
